The Confraternity of Mary Immaculate Queen consists of men and women, married and single, living a traditional Catholic life in the world with a Marian spirituality. Its members find their inspiration in the practice of Total Consecration to the Blessed Virgin Mary according to the method of St. Louis Marie de Montfort.
The purpose of the Confraternity is to provide helps for the laity to attain the sanctification of their souls and other souls in a manner suited to the lay state.
All members of the Confraternity of Mary Immaculate Queen share in the spiritual good works of the Religious of the Congregation of Mary Immaculate Queen. At their death, they share in the general suffrages offered for the deceased members of the Congregation of Mary Immaculate Queen, including monthly Masses and a solemn yearly commemoration, as well as three Masses offered yearly for all Confraternity members, whether living or deceased.
The obligations of Confraternity members are primarily spiritual. They approach the sacraments of Penance frequently, engage in daily meditation and examination of conscience, pray the Rosary and read spiritual books daily, and practice Total Consecration to Mary according to the method of St. Louis Marie de Montfort. In their daily lives, Confraternity members shall spread the message of Our Lady of Fatima by word and example as well as help their parish priest in pious works.
Any person at least 18 years of age, except one who is already member of a religious congregation, may be received into the Confraternity. Such a person must be living a devout Catholic life and sincerely desire to strive for Christian perfection.
The Confraternity holds monthly meetings at Mount St. Michael. These usually take place after Saturday morning Mass and consist of a sermon given by the Director of the Confraternity. Currently, the Director of the Confraternity in St. Michael’s Parish is the pastor, Fr. Casimir Puskorius, CMRI, and the Chairman of the Confraternity is Mr. Larry Little.
We are a community of women and men, some married, some single, living in our own homes and doing our own jobs.
We pray for each other, we meet when we are able, and we encourage one another in living the Catholic Faith.
We want to share the calling to follow Jesus as much as we can with the priests, Brothers and Sisters of the Congregation of Mary Immaculate Queen.
